Why Do A Personal History?

Creates A Feeling of Closure

Recalling one's life story can be an exhilarating experience.
Telling of important events can set off memories and associations that were hidden for a lifetime.
For those approaching the end of life, the opportunity to look back, reveal secrets, and forgive old resentments often brings a sense of peace and completion.

Leaves A Legacy for Children
Not many people know much about their parents' lives before they were born. They know even less about their grandparents. And when they reach maturity, those same children look back and wish they had asked questions and recorded the answers.
Before it' too lateA permanent record of personal history is a priceless gift to the children of the family and the generations to come.

Puts A Life Into Perspective
Most people find their memories to be very rewarding. With maturity comes the perspective to understand why they behaved as they did and achieved what they did. The act of tying it all together in a recorded story helps them understand themselves better.
